Tour: Machame

Jambo! With a friend I climbed Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route in 6 days and spent 4 days on a Safari to Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Lake Manyara NP. Both trips provided some unique emotions that will remain in my mind forever.

Mount Kilimanjaro

It was an amazing experience. We were lucky to be accompanied by our guide Saidi J. Muna who is very experienced, capable and absolutely reliable. He has a big knowledge and adviced us very well. Saidi and our assistant guide Hudson informed us in detail and turned out to be great motivators. Both are wonderful persons, very respectful and I liked their humour and kindness. Furthermore, I will never forget our waiter Rama with his warm and friendly nature. He was very attentive and helpful and took care of our well-being. Last but not least, our cook Brizon prepared excellent meals – the cucumber soup was my favourite – and all porters did a fantastic job by leaving the camp after us and having everything ready before we arrived at the next camp. Thanks to Saidi and Hudson and to all staff we reached the summit of Uhuru Peak and our dream came true.

I would highly recommend them.

Asante sana to Saidi, Hudson, Rama, Brizon and all porters!

Safari

Our luck lasted also for the Safari. Our driver and guide Godlove Onesmo showed us the beauty of the wildlife in the different parks. During the game drive he spotted a lot of animals, in particular 4 of the big five, more than we expected, and explained so many interesting things. He is not only very knowledgeable regarding animals and wildlife but also on Tanzania as a whole. Besides, I appreciated his careful and safe driving while I could relax and enjoy the spectacular landscape and the world of animals. His open and friendly manner and our stimulating conversation made me feel very comfortable.

Thank you Godlove for this marvellous trip! I can truly recommend you.

Looking back to a wonderful time with wonderful people I hope to come back one day.

I miss you folks!
