WHY CLIMB WITH US

Kilimanjaro-Experience is the sister company of Tanzania-Experience  and has been operating in East Africa since 2007. Based in Moshi, we are a registered and fully licensed German-run company and ground operator with an operations team, full trekking crews, safari vehicles and only the best equipment.

Many of our guides have been to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro over 100 times.  They speak excellent English and are registered with Kilimanjaro National Park. All guides are well-trained in First Aid and are fountains of knowledge on local culture, the flora and fauna on the mountain and much more.

Our operations manager matches every group with a guide, cook and porters that suit them and their personal needs best.

Our dedicated and attentive operations managment team is on 24 hour standby 7 days a week.

We ensure our porters are treated fairly. They are kitted out with suitable gear, enjoy three meals per day and sleep in good shelters while working on the mountain.

Ensuring that clients’ energy levels are sustained, our cooks deliver a vital service. With this in mind, professional chefs regularly update their training and techniques. Under extreme conditions on the mountain, these miracle workers create delicious and nutritious meals. Our success owes a lot to  these men.

Our gear is all of the highest quality to ensure comfortable and safe accommodation. On Marangu route, clients overnight in huts, but on the other routes accommodation will be in Vaude and Tatonka tents, which are as durable and strong  as our excellent camping furniture and utensils.  Meals are taken in a sturdy mess tents and clients sleep on comfortable sleeping mats. We can also hire out any gear or clothing that you might not have brought with you.

Above all , the most important  thing we offer is safety. We never compromise on clients’ safety with cheap gear or inexperienced guides.; we do not take chances with health issues, possible injuries or altitude sickness. We go out of our way to get you to the mountain top and, most importantly,  back again safely.  It’s as simple as that.

So, what are you waiting for? See you on the mountain!
